I came to know Jesus Christ as my savior when I was nine years old, though it took a number of years (17 to be exact) before I would seriously dedicate my life to following Him. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force while a senior in high school, and I went to active duty a month after graduating. I served in the Air Force for 10 years (1982-1992) before getting out to serve in the ministry of the Gospel.
My last 5 years in the Air Force were spent in Cheyenne where I met and married Kelly. We were married January 3, 1989. All my kids were born in Cheyenne, and it was there that I also rededicated my life to Christ, and Kelly experienced salvation. Kelly and I are parents to three grown children: Bill, Bob, and Stacie. Bob, after serving 4 yrs in the Marines, married a wonderful girl, so we now have Ashlee in our family as well. Bill and Stacie are both active duty service members. Bill with the Air Force, and Stacie with the Navy.
After being honorably discharged from the Air Force I began what would become a long journey to complete a college degree. I began to take classes at Laramie County Community College while working full-time and serving the church. Through the years I have pastored in Encampment, WY; Colstrip MT; and I have the pastor here at Blue Creek since 2013. I also served as a church planting missionary with the North American Mission Board from 2004 to 2011. I continued to take classes when I could, and I finally graduated from Yellowstone Christian College in 2017 with a BA in Christian Leadership. I am now enrolled in the Master of Divinity Program with Liberty University.
Kelly and I enjoy floating the rivers around Billings and surrounding areas. Sometimes we even manage to catch a fish.
